It was a little difficult to get to. But in the end, a magnificent view welcomed us. We did not make a reservation and went at noon on a weekday. The staff was extremely polite and very helpful. The food was delicious. Especially the fish was amazing. The staff's wine recommendation was also very good.
Everything about our dinner here was amazing. We initially booked via email 2 months in advance, with a table outside (we thought it would be nice weather!) but it was quite cold/windy/rainy. When we arrived, the staff were really accommodating and went out of their way to ensure everyone was sat, and we were given blankets as we were at the table by the door. It was a lovely atmosphere indoors, felt like eating in somebody’s home! Service was quick and attentive. The food was incredible; the spicy prawns are a must, maybe the best I’ve had. The monkfish stew was so delicious, loved the fresh flavours. Desserts (creme brûlée and choc mousse) were also amazing. It was my birthday and when my friends told the staff, they then sang happy birthday in Portuguese which was really nice. Thank you very much for an amazing meal and experience!
This restaurant had been on my list for a while, and I was excited to finally visit. I didn’t realize that you can choose your table when booking, so if you want a spot right by the water, be sure to select it in advance. Be prepared for some waiting, both to place your order and for the food to arrive. The service is attentive, and the food is fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful. However, I was hoping for a “wow” factor that I didn’t quite experience. With that said, it’s still a lovely, cozy spot worth trying!
The ambience is beautiful, especially with the lovely seating next to the sea. The servers were nice and very friendly, but be prepared to wait I waited 20 minutes before we were served and another hour before our food arrived. The food is very good, though my veal steak was a bit too salty. Despite the wait, it's definitely worth a visit as a tourist. It made my trip to Lisbon more memorable.
Gorgeous location and that is it. Sketchy to get to at night. Service is in shambles, even though the staff speaks great English. Tables way too close to each other. Shrimps were really fresh and good the rest of the fish pretty mid. The rice was my favorite part and that was also not outstanding. I would recommend coming to the bar next door for a drink during sundet instead. Also if you are coming in the evening please be careful there are no street lamps and there are a lot of holes in the street. Also a lot of shit on the way, that I stepped into. Just a heads up!
